iphone problems

I have come to the conclusion that I don't mix well with technology. I haven't posted in a a month because I have had no way to take pictures, and I feel like blogs without lots of pictures kind of suck lack the quality that draw in readers. In March, I managed to break my less than a year old Kodak waterproof camera when I was drunk at a club in Cancun on Spring break (i somehow managed to get water damage on my waterproof camera...) and then a few weeks ago tragedy struck once again when my third iphone went missing. I broke the first two and then this one was just innocently sitting next to me at a bar when... some  heartless person stole it. I tried all the tracking apps and everything else but they proved to be useless. So I have finally gotten a new iphone and with this phone will come pictures and more updates. At least that's the goal. Happy Thursday, weekend I can't wait for your arrival.

Apartment Hunting

The City of Brotherly Love
Getting move to Philadelphia is one of the things I'm most excited for about law school. Even though I (probably/definitely) won't have the same amount of free time as I did as an undergrad to play and explore, I still think I'm going to have a blast and create great new memories in Philly. Although I was born in Philadelphia and my whole entire family is from there, I am not as familiar with the city as I feel I should be. Therefore I blame the immense difficulty I am having finding an affordable apartment with all the basic amenities and a decent proximity to Drexel on my lack of geographical knowledge.

My future roommate and I (she went to USF) finally found a place that we loved, albeit a bit pricy in the museum district of center city... I am in love, it has a pool, a dishwasher AND garbage disposal in the kitchen and tons of great closet space. My sister, her boyfriend and I toured the place yesterday in the downpour and headed to famous Tony Lukes for sandwiches and drinks afterwards. If they could just take their prices down like 100$ we would move in in a heartbeat. I would get a view of the rocky statue every morning and be able to see the city skyline at night, which I've always found to be one of the most romantic sights in existence. So please please please Park Towne apartments, LOWER YOUR RENT PRICES! #helpmeimpoor. That said, if anyone has any ideas on center city or university city(that aren't too collegey) apartments that are in the range of sub $1700 a month, please contact me and I'll love you forever. Thanks!

The End of an Era, Beginning of Eternity?

Where did the past four years go?

I find myself asking this question with the other something thousand recent graduates of colleges around the United States. It feels like just yesterday I was graduating high school and moving into my first 7'x10' foot dorm room at the University of Delaware. In the next four years I met the best friends I could ask for, joined a sorority that changed my life, and accumulated the most amazing and outrageous memories that I'll always cherish. I also realized that as a psychology and criminal justice double major, the education I was getting wasn't exactly the most desired by most prospective employers in a down economy. So I did what 95 percent of the other kids in my major were doing and spent hours preparing for the grueling LSAT, spent hundreds of dollars on law school applications and procured a seat in the fall semester at Drexel Law school as a member of the class of 2015.

I have to be honest, I thought this would buy me another three years to procrastinate entering the real world, get me a degree that would automatically ensure a bank salary and allow me to carry on in my frivolous and fun lifestyle... I have come to realize I was so so wrong. Open houses, class descriptions, continued research and many discussions with those in the profession have ensured me that law school is going to be hell, especially the first year, especially in the fall. So essentially I've come to the conclusion that I've signed away any fun from my 22nd year of life. Just kidding. There's no way I can give up my whole life and any fun, no matter how hard and daunting the workload is. I'm trying to stay positive (as positive as possible? a lot of current law students and even some attorneys have this need to reassure me I'm going to hate my life... I guess they are sadistic and enjoy scaring incoming 1Ls) make this as enjoyable and painless an experience as I can. So I've created this blog to document my memories and at very least, if it is as bad as everyone keeps telling me it is/will be, I'll have saved my memories from the last two months of freedom before law school starts. here goes nothing.
